Spreading some natural Fertiliser today thanks to Dowdall agri contractors
The advantages of using slurry and organic fertiliser:
- Spray slurry, a liquid fertiliser derived from animal waste, contains a high amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, all essential nutrients for plant growth. When spray slurry is applied to the soil, the nutrients are absorbed quickly by the plants, which results in faster growth and higher yields.
- It is an extremely cost-effective way of fertilising soil. Instead of buying expensive synthetic fertilizers, farmers can use the animal waste that is readily available on their farms, reducing their production costs and improves their bottom line.
- It helps to improve soil structure and fertility. The organic matter in the slurry helps to improve soil structure by binding soil particles together, increasing the soil's water-holding capacity and helps reduce erosion. The organic matter also provides a food source for soil microbes, which help to break down organic matter and release nutrients into the soil. They also help to suppress harmful soil-borne pathogens that can cause plant diseases.
- Organic fertiliser is environmentally friendly, unlike synthetic fertilisers. Organic fertiliser does not contain harmful chemicals that can leach into the soil and waterways. This reduces the risk of pollution and protects the environment.
